Chad Brownstein recently appeared in Tulane University alumni news, talking about Green Wave Women’s Golf and his sponsorship of the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein. Brownstein is initially sponsoring the Tulane Classic for five years.
In the interview, Brownstein explained that with the inaugural event’s success in 2022, there are some exciting days ahead for the event.
Under Brownstein’s sponsorship, the Tulane Classic will broaden the playing field by welcoming HBCUs (historically Black colleges and universities) to the event in 2023.
Brownstein also used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to making the Tulane Classic a marquee event in every way. As Brownstein puts it, “Wouldn’t it be great at the end of five years if the entire student body showed up to root on the women’s golf team, had a great school spirit experience and changed the lives of so many at-risk New Orleans kids that they saw with their own eyes?”

A ‘classic’ sponsorship, an innovative initiative for Green Wave Women’s Golf
“We’re advancing women’s sports, and that’s important, but we’re also making a commitment to the community. The next batch of great women golfers could come from New Orleans because we gave an outlet through this tournament. We put a golf club in their hands, educate them about the rules and they become a part of a community.”
