Iowa Hawkeyes Start Spring Season In New Orleans

The University of Iowa women’s golf team traveled to New Orleans to open the spring season at the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein from Feb. 12-14. The event was played at the English Turn Golf and Country Club with 18 holes being contested each day.

The Hawkeyes sent five underclassmen to New Orleans for the Tulane Classic. Iowa’s lineup includes Kaitlyn Hanna, Madi Dabagia, Riley Lewis, Paula Miranda and Shannyn Vogler.

Iowa competed against 18 teams including Arkansas State, Boston College, Cal Poly, Central Arkansas, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, Howard, Incarnate Word, Memphis, Missouri State, Purdue, Rutgers, South Dakota, Southern Mississippi, UTEP, Tulane and Wichita State.

English Turn Golf and Country Club, which is located in the heart of New Orleans features a challenging design throughout all 6,326 yards and 18 holes. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1988.
