Wichita State Spring Season Teed Off at Tulane Golf Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein

Wichita State women's golf opened the spring portion of its schedule in New Orleans at the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein, Feb. 12-14. Opening round play kicked off Sunday, Feb. 12 with 18 holes and concluded with 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament was played at the English Turn Golf and Country Club, featuring a par-72, 6,268-yard layout. Wichita State joined the 18-team field in New Orleans, and was represented with this lineup: Mackenzie Wilson, Mar Vidal, Brooklyn Benn, Madison Slayton and Megan Lucas. University of Memphis Women’s Golf Begins Spring at 2023 Tulane Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein

The University of Memphis Women’s golf team participated in the Tulane Golf Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein. “This is a fun event that will really challenge us,” said Head Coach Jennifer Jordan. The teams play 18 holes on each day with a shotgun start at 9:32 a.m. Last time out, the Memphis Tigers placed sixth. Tulane Golf Tied for Third After Round One of The Tulane Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein

Tulane golf sat tied for third place after the first round of the Tulane Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein. Purdue led the field shooting 11-over as a team, UTEP is second shooting 18-over and Southern Miss is tied with Tulane at 21-over.  Carla Bernat and Miriam Emmert led the team both shooting 76 in round 1, tied for 12th in the field. Bernat nabbed three birdies on the day with Emmert draining one. Matilde Innocenti had the third best card for Tulane on day one, shooting 6-over. Cleo Liu shot 7-over, and Carlota Palacios shot 13-over. Tulane Golf Kicks off Spring Season with Tulane Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein

At The 2023 Tulane Women's Golf Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein, Purdue took an early lead. The Green Wave women’s team were holding their own with golfers Carla Bernat and Miriam Emmert leading the team following day one of the exciting tournament play.  The annual event is sponsored by Green Wave Men's Golf Alum Chad Brownstein and a $25,000 gift will be donated to the New Orleans Boys and Girls Club as part of the event’s philanthropic efforts. Iowa Hawkeyes Start Spring Season In New Orleans

The University of Iowa women’s golf team traveled to New Orleans to open the spring season at the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein from Feb. 12-14. The event was played at the English Turn Golf and Country Club with 18 holes being contested each day. The Hawkeyes sent five underclassmen to New Orleans for the Tulane Classic. Iowa’s lineup includes Kaitlyn Hanna, Madi Dabagia, Riley Lewis, Paula Miranda and Shannyn Vogler. The Boys & Girls Club of Metro Louisiana Named Beneficiary of Tulane Women’s 2023 Golf Tournament

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana was chosen to be the beneficiary of the 2023 Women’s Tulane Classic Golf Tournament presented by Chad Brownstein, a former Tulane men’s varsity golfer. The charitable gift of $25,000 will support the Milne Unit of the Boys & Girls Club in New Orleans. The much-needed gift will purchase educational supplies, technology and sports equipment for youngsters in Louisiana.  Brownstein went to Tulane to play football but ended up becoming a varsity golf letterman at Tulane in the early 1990s.
